Good News

Sorry for the delay in printing this. I was kind of loopy sleepy after the surgery.

The surgeon was able to get all of the cancer out on the first procedure! It had not spread any further than the small "blemish" on my cheek.

So they sutured me up and sent me home.

I have a follow-up visit in a week, and I am restricted from any strenuous activity for several weeks while the wound heals. I can't even bend over!

I am off for the next couple of days as I cannot take a proper shower for 48 hours and in my line of business I can't go in to work looking like a slob.

That's all for now as I'm still somewhat tired from the ordeal. Thank you for all your good wishes!

Keep Me in Your Thoughts

I found out that my "blemish" is definitely cancer. Ack. (The doctors thought so, they just wanted confirmation from the labwork.)

So I am scheduled for surgery this morning. And from what they've told me, I could be there for HOURS!

"F" took the day off so he'll be there with me, and be my chauffeur and gopher. ("Sweetie-Dahling, I would simply ADORE a Chai Latte! Please be a lamb and fetch me one!")

 So any prayers or thoughts sent my way will be appreciated. I'll try to log on later today or tomorrow morning to let you know the results. TTFN.

After The Storm

Hello All!

This will have to be a quick post as I am at work. Our cable/phone/Internet at home are all down so I don't know when I'll be posting again (yesterday's post was done on my cellphone!).

Parts of Springfield look like a war zone. Just Google "Springfield MA Tornado" and you will see it all.

The tornado touched down just two streets from us. Our house, and Teddy-ji (our dog) are both fine. I tried to get home for two hours Wednesday night, but there were trees down everywhere!

I finally parked my car at a local shopping plaza and walked to my house two miles away.

"F" couldn't get through at all and spent the night with his mother in East Longmeadow (the next town over).

We didn't have power and my cellphone's battery was getting low, so all I was able to do was let F and my family know that we were safe.

Fortunately our power came back on later that night and I was able to charge my phone and make additional calls, update Facebook, post to my blog-all through my phone! Ah, Technology!!

I'll try to visit your blogs today, but, if you don't hear from me for a few days, you'll know why. TTFN!

As you know I live in Springfield,MA. We're safe and sound. House is okay too. TTFN!
